Friday Night Chaos

The party game where your phones are the controllers and your friends are the punchline.

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ 3โ€“12 players
  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ Phones only
  • โฑ๏ธ ~10 minutes

You'll get a room code to share. You control when the game starts.

Pick your kind of chaos

The host picks the game type in the lobby. Not sure? Chaos Mix has you covered.

  • Chaos Mix

A different game every round. The default, and the most fun.

  • Quip Clash

Everyone answers the same ridiculous prompt. Funniest answer gets the votes.

  • Big Fat Liar

A weird-but-true fact with a blank. Write a fake so good your friends pick it over the truth.

  • Most Likely To

Who's most likely to cry at a cartoon? Vote for the friend who fits. Read the room to score.

  • This or That

Two impossible choices. Pick a side, side with the majority to score.

How it works

  1. Host a room

Tap Host a game on any phone or laptop. You get a room code and a QR.

  2. Friends join

They scan the QR or type the code on their own phones. No app, no account.

  3. Play & laugh

Answer, vote, and let the AI game master roast the results. Highest score wins.

๐Ÿ“บ Got a big screen? Open the TV view on a laptop or TV for the shared scoreboard โ€” the host's lobby has the link.

Question packs

The host picks a pack in the lobby. Every pack also works with the AI game master.

FAQ

Do we need to install an app?

No. Friday Night Chaos is a website. The host opens it in a browser; everyone else opens the link or types the room code on their phone.

How many players can join?

Three to twelve players per room, plus any number of TV views for a shared screen.

What game types are there?

Chaos Mix (a different game every round, the default), Quip Clash (funniest answer wins the votes), Big Fat Liar (write a fake fact good enough to fool your friends), Most Likely To (vote for the friend who fits) and This or That (side with the majority). The host picks the game type in the lobby.

How does scoring work?

Quip Clash: +100 for each vote your answer gets, +50 for voting for the round's winner; ties for most votes all win. Big Fat Liar: +200 for finding the truth, +100 for every friend your fake fools. Most Likely To: +100 for voting with the room, +50 if you get crowned. This or That: +100 for picking the majority side. Your round's points show next to your name at every reveal, and the highest total wins.

Where does the AI run?

On the host's side. When the host switches on the free AI game master, only the host's browser asks this site's AI (Cloudflare Workers AI; or OpenCode Zen with the host's own key). Guests never run it. It only writes questions, hints and commentary; if it is off or busy, the game uses its hand-written question bank.

Can we play over our own wifi?

Yes. When everyone is on the same network, game traffic goes directly between the phones and the host. With the LAN server the game also works with no internet connection at all.

Does the AI decide who wins?

Never. The AI only writes prompts, hints and commentary. Votes, timers and scores are counted by the game itself.

Is it free?

Yes. There are no accounts, no ads and no API keys needed to play.
